Des is still alive but has no joy to share

be the tooth fairy
And just whose idea...

...was it that the tooth has to go UNDER the pillow? What would be wrong with beside the pillow or even on the side table? Or better yet, how about in another room entirely? sigh

Comments:

haha...

I know! poor tooth fairies they are small, and have to pick up those heavy sleepy heads to get the tooth.

Heavy duty

The tooth fairy had a big job last night… seven teeth! Four from one child who had them forcibly removed at the advice of an orthodontist, and three from the other child who lost them naturally over the last month or so. (We were on vacation when two of them came out so we saved them but then forgot about them until the third one came out.)

WOW

That is so cool, it is like having a savings account of tooth currency.
They must have been really happy in the morning, did the tooth fairy was able to get them all?

lob enjoys my garden

you're right

your idea is much more practical

If you don't hide it

under your pillow
the tooth fairy will
check under your mattress
and find all the cash
hidden there and steal it
and go to Tijuana and
buy mescal.

ello keeps Hoff Week in her heart all year long.

I have this dim memory

of having a lovely little special box for the purpose. A Tooth Fairy Box. Quite pragmatic, that tooth fairy was.

EDIT: And no, the box didn’t go under our pillows. It went on the nightstand. I don’t recall the discussion about whether or not it would work right if it wasn’t under the pillow; we may have just bought it. Or we may have been jaded from the get-go, my sister and I.

How much does the Tooth Fairy

have to shell out per tooth these days?

It was $5.00 a pop in my house.

Or it was after Jeny got the hang of just what was going on.

Kim N is playing Venetica

My tooth fairy money was never under the pillow

It was usually in a bowl in the bathroom. But I never questioned it, because it was money!

We taught the tooth fairy...

...to find the teeth in a container on the night stand next to the childrens’ beds, sort of like what ello and Kim said. It’s amazing how flexible and smart that tooth fairy is, Des!

One time the tooth fairy

forgot to bring the money at our house…so she had to visit again the next evening…
oh…and yeah…hard to find the tooth sometimes under the pillow…

Des has gotten 25 cheers on this entry.
