visit Cuba
Visited Santiago de Cuba in 2003

Legally visited Santiago Cuba in 2003 with my husband and his Mother to visit famiy. The Cuban people are beautiful, hard working, lovely people. The live with many obstacles daily…without so many things we Americans take for granted.

Discovering my husband’s Grandfather, Rodolfo Hernandez Giro was a famous Cuban Sculptor was inspiring. Many momuments and statues throughout Cuba (Plaza de Marta, etc) have been done by him. His work and the work of my husband’s uncle Juan Emilio Hernandez Giro is on display at the Barcardi Museum in Santiago.

The photo found at the family home in Santiago shows my husband’s Grandfather, Rodolfo, actually Sculpting.

I wish I could have met him, as Abuelo Rodolfo must have been quite a wonderful Man!

Research about Hernadez Giro

I was doing a research looking for some information about the family of Hernandez Giro.
For me is a pleasure to tell you that your husband grandfather was the teacher of my grandfather Antonio Ferrer Cabello I’m attaching something that my grandpa proudly said about Hernandez Giro…

Hernandez Giro was one of the greatest sculptor.

I want to know if the family is doing something related with his legacy
