Joyce’s message captures the universality of Christ’s appeal; too often we forget that the only people to whom Christ beat over the head with rhetoric were those religious leaders in power, to everyday people he showed compassion and reverance; His, at least to regular people, was a message of “do” that often awakened the “can do” spirit in others

Perhaps I am just a little too much of a Joyce fan, but my experience has been one where she mentions various ways that people may have missed the mark in their own lives, but instead she points the way to the target.
