Thanks!!!

We’re off to stay with my husband’s sister and her son in Exeter. But the plan is to travel about a bit whilst there, Glastonbury, Dartmoor and the like. Have a good week Pinknkit… :)

How fab!

We had good friends in Exeter & visited often (they moved to Cornwall last year).

I love, love, love Budleigh Salterton beach or ‘stone’ beach as we call it.
They have the most gorgeous large round stones there, a few are in my garden !
(I know thats not good, but 1-2 a year is OK , right ???)
Also the swerve of the land as if a giant has just sat down to bathe his feet in the sea : )
Oh, and those little beach huts….
..hmm
Dont get me started on the Tor and Avebury !
It all sounds just perfect,
have yourself such a fine time.

I'll try ;)

I’m looking forward to climbing the Tor again. I love the views from the top of it and watching the birds gliding on the wind up there. We are also going to find some beaches to visit in Devon, that one that you mention sounds amazing. I was just at the beach here last night, sky and sea were the same colour, grey, but all very dramatic. Take care :)

Wanted to tell you

that we went here. I loved it, really loved it. We were checking out how far away from the sea we would be for when we move to Exeter. Exmouth is only about 20/25 mins and Budleigh is just a bit further on so we were both very happy that we will still be close to the coast. The weather that day was pretty dire but in some ways it added something to the place. It looked very dramatic and it felt like a good place to blow the cobwebs away when needed to. So thank you for suggesting it as we probably wouldn’t have gone there if you hadn’t :)
