I’ve only been away for a few days, but they made a difference. I stayed with my family/relatives and the meals we ate were very basic compared to what we come up with at home. Spaghetti bolognese, potatoes, carrots and peas, “risi bisi” – nothing complicated. Less meat, too. It makes me realized how spoiled I am, in spite of a limited budget, and how much time – too much time – I usually devote to shopping, cooking and eating.
The truth is that I would’ve liked to cook an elaborate meal, but we never got to go to the supermarket ;-) Back home, I weigh a kilo less (and number which I’ve not seen on my scale since I started a weight journal 18 months ago). And as always I’m amazed that even such a small weight loss makes my jeans fit much better.
