Own A Retro Raygun (read all 2 entries…)
The Mofairian Raygun 16 months ago

I went to the Missouri state fair on Saturday. Just a observation. Teva sandals and walking through the livestock barns don’t mix. Though the fried green tomatos, funnel cakes, barbeque, and cowgirls in Wrangler jeans, wearing spurs did ease my pain.

As we were leaving I saw a kid that had a very cool raygun. I have no idea what I was thinking but I asked him where he got it. As he was trying to answer me his mom came out of nowhere, I swear she had her hand on a hidden tazer ready to zap me. After she figured out that I too was just another 7 year old boy in a adults body. She explained where they got it.

I went down to the little booth and the guy said he just sold the last one to a little kid with a very uptight mom. But he said I should try just down the street. Two little kids where standing there and overheard me ask about a raygun and they were off like rockets to the next booth. As I walked up, I overheard one of them asking, “do you have something called a raygun?”. The little bastard had no idea what he was even asking for. I punched him in the throat. (ok, not really. I did narrow my eyes at him though.) The guy working at the stand said, there was one left hanging up on a string going along the top of the tent. Ha! The little rat blanker couldn’t reach it! Being 6’2” his its advantages.

Below is a link to my new raygun!
