Grateful for:

• a lovely time in Oxford with JP – nice walks, a candlelit concert, a ridiculous topiary frog, lunch at a riverside pub, and a tortoiseshell cat
• getting a seat on the fast train and having the chance to catch up with the newspaper
• G’s funny story about meeting a cat in the corridor which had escaped and was dancing down the corridor being vocal, with its embarrassed owner in hot pursuit (we’re not supposed to have pets here, but I hope I get to meet it!)
• the exciting wine-tasting programme for the autumn coming through at long last, and that G and TR will be going to most of the ones I want to go to
• feeling refreshed after a 3 day weekend, ready to return to the fray tomorrow!
