I had a similar goal a few years ago, and amazingly, unaccountably, it is still nice in my car! Once I got the stuff out of it, it was so obvious if I left anything in that I just couldn’t bear to leave it there. The trunk can be seductive, though. Just put whatever in there and it still looks ok in the car, right? And what if I Needed Something, and I didn’t have it in my trunk? And (the most insidious) I might as well leave it in there because what if I have to move again…. But it’s so nice and peaceful when I get in and nothing is screaming at me to do something about it.
