BetterTimes is still down with the blues
This is on my list too, but wow, you people seem very devoted to this. I actually don’t know how it is to be severely overweight, I’m actually not overweight at all, but I was thinking that losing a few kg’s might be good for self-confidence-reasons. That’s what was going through my head when I added this to my list. I’m far from counting calories, and being all crazy about it. I really don’t mean to step on anyone’s toes here, since I know some people really have a problem with their weight. But still, I think depriving oneself of all good foods is no real way to live. Everything in moderation. And don’t forget, exercising is a must if you want to really lose weight.
But for the hell of it, since everyone’s doing it, here’s what I put in me today:
Some leftover weird-potato-onion-thing I make sometimes
Some mayo
Ice-cream
Some ham
Cup of tea
No coffee
No alochol
Smoked about ten cigarettes
And I don’t feel the slightest bit of shame about anything on that list.
And one more thing. I’m not American, but my brother-in-law is. And he’s what you might call a “big guy”. When he first got here, he was really amazed that everyone walked as much as they did. He told me that in America, when you want to buy something, you always take the car, no matter how close something is. Here, if the store is within maybe 2 kilometers (about 1.5 US miles), you wouldn’t normally take the car, you would walk. He got accustomed to this after a while, and has since then lost a bunch of weight. I’m telling you, the small things count for a whole lot more than people think.
