I really DO love 10 months ago

my therapist. Our session today really helped, and my household has achieved some normalcy again tonight. Yay for good doctors!

Glad things are better....

Hi..

Glad the session helped…I had thought about calling and making sure you are okay…

So it is good to hear things are better today….

DoubleN going to visit SingleN in the hospital tonight!

Thank you

so much – you are an awesome friend!

When I came home and spent some time with the girls, things did ease up a lot, and Youngest Daughter even asked me to give her a back rub, which I was really glad to do (sometimes touch is what a person really needs). And Middle Daughter regaled us with stories of her new life as a school/sports photographer – showed me a picture of all her co-workers and gave me the lowdown on them all, we joked around about the booger-boy at her first shoot a week or two ago, etc. A good “girls night”, and really necessary to get back to normal. :)

Wish you were feeling better about your situation, though. Let me know if you want to go out some time – I won’t stand you up like your tennis person!

Yay...

for you : )

and being a caring, concerned Mum.

Thank you

The care and concern is the easy part; it’s knowing the right things to say and do in various situations that is so difficult, for me anyway.

I agree its difficult.

Being a Mum youre the first in the firing line.
Sometimes ‘whatever’ you say or do will just be wrong,
its a bloody tough place to be ‘put’.
However, often its not forever, but
its a hard track upwards.

Treat yourself good.

Again,

thanks. With Youngest Daughter it really will be forever, though, more than with most offspring – she has schizophrenia. The past 13 years have been a real roller coaster ride, but it is what it is, and it’s certainly given me a new perspective on a lot of things, and sent me in new directions – like running, which I used to despise but now love! There are always good things that spring from bad.

That is

such a positive approach : )

I agree with you that there are good things to be found from bad.
But it takes a special perspective to be able to see it in really rough times.
Yey, to you for having that :)

I can imagine your coping stratagies must be firmly strenghtened when living with mental illness. Im so pleased your therapist is helping.
Just finding a good doctor can be a battle in itself : (

...also

Im sorry I posted the
word ‘forever’ previously DoubleN.
I had no idea about your daughter & I could kick myself for the presumption I made about your situation : (
Im not usually so blinkered.

Big ((((Hugs))) to you.
