bloodmania Hasn't been on here for ages

Hey George, i haven’t heard from you in a while. Just wondering how you are going and whether you are ok? Whats up? I don’t really have anything interesting to say at the moment so i’ll just wait for your response. I hope everything is ok – let me know if anything isn’t. You know you can always talk to me.

Hope you are well.

Bye, bloodmania…

HI Bloodmania-

There’s nothing wrong it’s all good. I am just way behind in my reporting of the Project Runway episodes, I missed the one with Brooke Shields of Lipstick Jungle but watched the Olympic Design of the women’s outfit and the latest Drag Queen design…

Last weekend was one of the best weekends/weeks for me. I Crewed the Susan komen Walk for Breast Cancer with about 2-2,500 beautiful gorgeous women and 18 of my Gear and Tent teammates. I have pictures and will set them up soon.

I also attended a Planned Parenthood Scholl Committee meeting on Wednesday about sex and health education in schools, and went with my close friend Marina, who works at NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts, she invited me along with some of her pro-choice volunteer woman to attend the Center of New Words (CNW) ‘What Women Want” an taped speech(es) that will be presented to the presidential candiates on such topics as: equal pay for equal work, sex discrimination, sexual harassment, universal health care, women’s reproductive rights, etc. So I need to wqrite all about that too.

I had 18 or more wonderful angels looking out for my well being this past weekend, they made sure I drank enough Gatorade, ate enough, had enough pretzels, took naps, sat in the shade, just so I would make it to closing ceremonies. I love them all dearly. I also gave three fleece jackets to the two nurses and woman doctor who saved my life, (only one nurse, told me, “No, we didn’t save your life, it’s what we do…”)

I also painted my toenails Romeo & Juliet and when I wasn’t loading luggage I wore my open toed sandals but most people could care less, or if they did notice they didn’t say anything, so Karen one of our Gear and Tent mates, kept telling me, ‘YOu know George, we can do this right, I have the pink polish…” So, on Saturday, both her and I went in the rear of the open truck box and she painted my toesies “hot pink” and I stayed that way all day Saturday evening, LOL.

I also confided in another dear and close tent mate Merike and Cheryl and while Cheryl was on a hydration run for most of the day I painted Merike’s toes. I just had a blast doing it, and some walkers made some cool comments, LOL

You see last year, my biggest fear was passing out from dehyration and the paramedics taking off my shoes and socks revealing my painted blue toes, so this year, I just said I am not going to worry about what others think of me, I know I am not gay or bi, (not that’s there’s anything wrong with that, and even if I was what’s wrong with being gay of bi, really? it’s not really a bad thing, right?)

I just loved the look on people’s faces when they told me my pink toes look “lovely” or “you don’t seem to be the type of guy who does this…” or “i can’t believe you painted your toes hot pink!” “You even know the shade of the OPI Romeo & Juliet nail polish, LOL.”

So, thanks for worrying about me but I am fine, just a little behind and it took me about three days to recover from the Susan Komen Walk experience,

(((((((((((((huggs)))))))))))))

Love,

George :)
