My local friends: I see them every week or two, sometimes more. It keeps me sane.

My Dad: Every week. Also keeps me sane.

My mother: Now, every two years. This November marks three since the last time. Keeps me sane.

I have some good people in different places. Skype and Gmail are groovy.

I have a best friend I somehow haven’t seen since December. Far from the best feeling in the world.

suck at both these thingies

I don’t have a lot of good friends. Most of them aren’t anywhere near me, so I see them when I can… usually when one of them makes a trip back to Michigan (where most of us are from) I’ll try to meet up with them there. I should make more of an effort to go visit people. I’m overdue a trip to Houston, Virginia, and Germany. But that’s tough.

My sister is the only close person I’ve got here in Chicago. I try to see her at least once a week. Sometimes it’s more, sometimes less. But I won’t be here forever, so I want to take advantage of being close by.

My boyfriend’s a 3-hour drive away. I try to see him at least twice a month.

And my parents are a 5-hour drive away. I try to see them once every month or two. I wish it could be more… it’ll be a lot easier once I’m living back in my home state again.

How often do you try to meet your good friends? Not nearly enough.

If you aren’t living with your parents anymore, how often do you go see your parents?
Father, never. Don’t even know if he’s dead or alive.
Mom, maybe twice a year. I love my mommy, but she lives in San Diego so we don’t get to get together often enough.

i moved back in with my parents before i left to travel, but when i get home, i’ll be moving out again…though i’ll still see my mom every day at work—and i’ll probably be at their house once a week-ish anyway. i love my parents!

When I’m at school it’s easy but during holidays I don’t see them very often.
