cheers rss feeds 16 months ago

I’ve been cleaning up and polishing some RSS feed stuff, and I decided to add an RSS feed for cheers.

Go to your cheers page:
http://www.43things.com/person/YOURUSERNAME/cheers

and click on the [RSS] button (or on the rss icon in your browser’s address bar). There are also separate given and received feeds that you can get to from the cheers given and cheers received pages.

I’m a knitwit.. hows rss feeds work? what do they do?

RSS feeds are a way to subscribe to websites that you are interested in getting updates about.

Here’s what wikipedia says about it:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS_(file_format)

Basically, you can save a bunch of “RSS feeds” to an RSS reader (which can be a program on your computer or a website such as http://www.bloglines.com or Google Reader). And then, instead of going to all of these separate sites every morning to see what’s new, you can look at your RSS reader and have all of the updates in one place.

Most blogs and news sites will have RSS feeds. We also have a few different ones on 43things: http://www.43things.com/rss

Laurel Fan has gotten 4 cheers on this entry.
