Will there be hope for Smalltalk on OS X? 5 years ago

Smalltalk is definitely the next programming language that I want to learn. I read recently read Kent Beck’s Smalltalk Best Practices and gained a lot from his teachings.

Now the only thing we need is for Ambrai Smalltalk to mature to the point where it feels like Smalltalk isn’t a second-hand version on OS X compared to VisualWorks or Squeak.

I also readed Kent Beck’s Smalltalk Best Practice Patterns! I like a lot Smalltalk, but I can’t use it on my job :-(

There is the ObjectiveC Bridge

for Squeak. Its 99% there, needs some testing and debugging but you can create Cocoa UI with it and open bundles and frameworks. Find it on http://squeaksource.com
