Me wonder’s if my son will ever learn to tie a tie as his Mom and Dad do knot know how to. Maybe he will teach us someday.
Dad doesn’t know how to do a tie?
Maybe because I went to Catholic school for 12 years, I figured everyone knows how to tie a tie!
I could be wrong…
They sit in their box or bag until his brother come’s to them for him. He never unties the tie. Just loosens it and lifts it over his head. =0)
That’s what my boyfriend did for Surly Jr’s boyfriend! He put it on, tied it, slipped it over his head and handed it over.
And it would have worked fabulously too, but my boyfriend didn’t factor in his neck size vs this kid’s neck!
Surly Jr’s boyfriend SERIOUSLY needs a cheeseburger or two! That kid is so darn skinny.
It ended up the tie tail stuck out a few inches… So he tucked it into his shirt LOL
and found there are about a dozen websites devoted to how to tie a tie. Back when I was a kid I had to learn on the street :)
I looked at one site; it did a good job describing how to make the knot, but didn’t mention how to get the length right, or what the right length should be. Didn’t see anything about where to place the tie bar either, guess they assume you will pick up the refinements somewhere else.
