on the train (actually two trains, we both changed lines in the same direction) a tall man in his late 20’s wearing long pants – and a pair of pristine white athletic shorts underneath – talked on the phone while removing and putting on his pants three times. when we left train one, he had his pants on. when he walked onto the traincar I was sitting on after the transfer, he was carrying his pants over his arm.
