is a dance where we celebrate what’s usually the last home football game…which i suppose you would call soccer. :P the game is on a friday night and then the dance is the following saturday.

I’d be able to be more helpful if I knew what hair options you were considering – and also any that you’ve already rejected (e.g., because you want it curly – or not curly).
The dress is stunning. Very sophisticated. For some reason, it makes me think of Audrey Hepburn. You might try entering her name into Google Images and browsing some of the “updo” photos. Obviously they’d need updating, but a good stylist ought to be able to do that.

i havent really rejected or considered anything yet…i just dont want to wear it plain down. curls are fun though. for freshman homecoming, my hair was curly and half way up. for sophomore homecoming, it was up in this pin – wheel deali – o and the lady who did it left a few strands out around my bangs and curled them. then for prom, it was in this poof thing and the lady curled some of the strands that were hanging down.

Something about that dress – its clean lines, I think – seems to me to call out for the sleeker, neater look.
The one on the right looks messy. I realize that that look is popular, and in many contexts, it’s perfectly fine. I just don’t think it would do this dress justice.
Let your hair get messy as the evening wears on, from dancing and laughing and maybe from being rumpled by your date. But let it start out looking put-together without looking plastic.
Not sure I’m making much sense here. Haven’t ingested nearly enough tea yet.
P.S. Do you have pearls you can wear with that dress? Doesn’t matter if they’re real or not. I think that a single strand around your throat, and a pair of simple pearl earrings, would look exquisite. Of course, I think you’d look exquisite in a burlap sack. I’m trying to be objective, though.

you’re making sense. and making me laugh. (: haha. thanks ! i’ll have to get a burlap sack for prom or something…yeah, i have pearls that i wore for prom. you cant see them very well here…they’re strung on this plastic – y stuff that’s clear and they’re only strung every so often. and i think they have these sparkley diamond thingies, too.
What you want to do is go with Mohawk Boy and cut your hair to match his.
Or, you could get a reverse mohawk, and then when the two of you are slow dancing, he could rest his mohawk on your landing strip. I’m getting tears in my eyes just thinking about how beautiful it would be.
If you insist on a real answer out of me, I actually do agree with Tink. While, I tend to think that you should frame your face and show off just how beautiful it is, that the dress you have chosen asks for something like the one on the left.
That one on the left would look great on her.
Don’t be so quick to dismiss my reverse mohawk suggestion. I think Caiti and her date would look great as The Road Warriors.

were a 1980s wrestling tag team: Hawk and Animal. Hawk wore a reverse mohawk and Animal wore a mohawk. They both wore red spiked shoulder pads. Animal is the father of OSU linebacker James Laurenitis.

no, he did not. he had to work. so i was home by myself from 7 – ish to midnight. so i texted ruby and we talked about stuff. (: she’s like, the best best friend ever.
I mean I’m glad you had a good time with Ruby and all of that, but I’m sorry you were home alone and that he wasn’t able to come over. I’m sure you had a nice chat, but I’m betting you would have had a lot more fun with a boy over.
I’m just curious. Where does he work? In my epxerience, places aren’t too eager to hire people with mohawks.
