It does seem like forever since we gave birth to this baby. We are having a lot of fun reminiscing about cooking adventures, some interesting stories and some even more interesting incidences that nonnacookbooker wasn’t aware of. Let’s do it!!

I've just seen this goal

And it reminded me that I do have my Mums old recipe book with her Christmas pudding recipe in and other gems.

My neice has recently had her first child, and I am getting the feeling of the family moving into the next generation and think I ought to do something with this and make sure these recipes get passed on. I’m sure some came from my Grandma too.

I would not want to part with the book itself (well not yet anyway) as, apart from wanting to hang on the the recipes, many are in my Mum’s handwriting and it means a lot to me to just see this from time to time.

So?? What next?? well I guess just a germ of an idea for the moment.

What a lovely idea Silvie

Just a thought. When you feel you can, why don’t you keep the original book, and maybe have it copied and bound for your loved ones and then you will be able to keep your mum’s one. I know my daughter’s love it when I write out my recipes for them (they always want it in my handwriting tho – not typed!). Good luck with this :)
