i am a montrealer at heart. always will be.
i moved there on my own at 21. i didn’t know a soul, did not speak french, had no plan…but i made a life and some very precious friends.

I planning on moving to montreal (2010) my daughter wants to study her master in journalism there. We have (1) year to plan everything. But we do not know anybody there and have never been there, what I know about montreal I’ve read or friends have talked to me about. I want to meet people who live there so I can get suggestions, and know a little more and hear it from people who live there. I fully bilingual (english/spanish) my daughter knows how to defend herself in English. She plans to study english/french before entering to do her masters. But I’m worried because I don’t know where I should go when we get there. Or if there is anyone to contact or they have gov services that help new people (I’m an american citizen) I don’t know if this helps or not. Pls I need help, support and advice. thk you
