There was a ‘Csigane’ sitting in the subway in Budapest playing his violin and, although I don’t speak a lot of Hungarian, my grandad does and gave him a cigarette and I put some money in his violin case. He tried to sell us his old French violin (and I would have jumped at the chance, had I had enough money!)

He was a nice old man, just sitting and playing his violin all day amongst the hustle and bustle of the underground train station :)
