I got a journal about a week ago and have written two entries I want to start writting in it everyday. I need a release of my stress and I have heard this can really help!

If you have a hard time writing every day, try one of these:

Write three good things about the day.

Make a draw-bowl full of little papers on which you (or a group of friends!) have written single words. When you’ve nothing special to write, draw a word and write what comes to mind. It’s amazing what a little bit of jotting about a word like “control” or “accidental” or “nature” can turn into, once you get going.

Comment on whatever you’re reading.

Write about what you wore today, why and how you came to own it, and how you feel about it. Sounds weird, but sometimes this can start a flood of thoughts, related or unrelated to the actual clothes…
