This is where my husband proposed to me, in March 2006.

Iceland has the most fantastic food I’ve ever eaten (I’ve still never eaten lamb to rival Iceland’s), great nightlife and amazing, mysterious, ethereal scenery. Sadly we missed the Northern Lights, but hope one day to return, either to see the Lights or the Midnight Sun.

It is extremely expensive though! But worth every penny for us..
