I attended a 10-day Vipassana meditation course. The basic idea is to notice sensations within the body with complete equanimity, and therefore realize the embodied reality that all things are impermanent. This was about two weeks ago. It was extremely difficult, but beneficial. Afterwards, I felt lighter, happier. I realized that my anxiety is caused through sensations I feel in my stomach, and in my heart, and that these sensations are constantly arising and passing.

So, I’d really like to stick with this type of meditation. But it’s so hard to motivate myself sometimes. I want to every day.

wow

It is such a good thing. Just reading about it made me realise a few sensations that are making me anxious right now. May be you can try practicing it while you are running your errands or at work if you think you feel less motivated to take time off and sit down to do it.
Its would be nice of you if you shared more about the technique with us.
Thanks again.

sensations

So, are these nervous sensations in your stomach or heart just random, or is your body trying to tell you something? Like, is there a reason to be anxious? Or is the anxiety completely its own thing, unrelated to anything?
