It’s getting better, just thinking about it. It is slightly a social goal, but I know no one is assessing my language. But I am assessing other people’s language. Everyone uses umm and like because we hate silence. Americans especially abhor a conversational vacuum longer than 1.1 seconds, I’m sure. I value this goal because I think I will sound like a better and more articulate speaker. The downside is that I think my partner sounds like a moron. I do not like to think that.
