Well, after researching for weeks I bought a new refrigerator yesterday: a GE French Door/Bottom Freezer in Stainless. And today bought my range and hood. All are being delivered next Friday and I can’t wait!! My 1971 house still has the original range (and washing machine for that matter) and I can’t wait to bid good riddance to it! It’s chipped, dirty, with awful wood paneling :P
Monday, the granite people are coming to do the template for the counters, so it’ll be another 2 weeks before they’re installed.
I ordered my hardware today too: stainless bar pulls, and bar T-knobs for the cabinets….sleek modern-looking stainless. The paint job looks great: cabinets are now glossy white and the walls are a pear/grass green (Benjamin Moore: Baby Fern) so with the black granite counters, it should look good….
All I have to do is buy my two pendants and have the electrician in next week to un-hardwire the range and put in an outlet and install the lighting.
WOW. It’s been seven years that I’ve been staring at this hideous kitchen and it’s finally coming together!!
