I’m really just a big kid. I don’t mind admitting it. I love watching cartoons. I find I get quite emotionally invested in them. Don’t know what it is about them that results in that. It’s not the simplicity. I don’t believe cartoons are a simple thing to entertain children.
I love that a lot of treasured memories from my childhood come from reminiscing about cartoons that I watched (all children’s shows for that matter). That might have something to do with the 80s cartoon formula though.
what started this thought process, for anyone who’s interested, is that I went to see Wall-E yesterday afternoon. There’s nothing quite like the mix of Pixar and inanimate objects to make you cry.
I think it was a really beautiful movie, by any standards, and I think it’s something everyone will get something from, not just children.
