Read at least 3 novels over holiday vacation
LITERACY!

I want to take full advantage of leaving my job behind for two weeks. No functional design specification! No standards documents!

I want to read for FUN.

- I will not sit on my ass in Alabama and watch On Demand movies with my brother.

- I will not spend the day shopping with my mother and sister at insipid gift shops looking for holiday bargains.

+ I will read.

The only activity which can be substituted for the reading is the drinking.

A Very Long Engagement.

Your thoughts on Audrey Tautout notwithstanding, this book was excellent and I’m trying to convince everyone I know to read it so that we can talk about it. Of course, the most obvious thing to do would be to force it upon one of my two book clubs…will need to work on that (but perhaps not as an official 43t goal). If you want, I’ll give you my copy—it has a picture of nekkid Amelie and nekkid boy on the cover and I’m a bit embarassed to have it in plain sight in my home. But still, awesome book. Awesome.

Nekkid Audrey

..notsomuch. The previews for that movie make me cringe.

Maybe I’l borrow it. I mean, you did recommend Middlesex and The Curious Incident which were both great, so I should trust you.

I first have to tackle T.C. Boyle’s The Inner Circle (maybe I’ll quit my job and become a sex researcher!) and Susanna Clarke’s Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell.

Buster Benson I need more goals.

This is a great goal.

And I’m happy to see that you don’t like that crazy stalker girl either. :)

I’m going to have to add this goal to my list as well (if you don’t mind). And, since I need book recommendations, I may just as well copy you on that too (why not?). Shoot, now maybe I sound stalkerish…
