That depends on your needs
If you’re not SAG, then the non union fee is about $65 for an eight hour day. They usually won’t call you again for that same film or TV show. If they do, chances are it’ll be no less (usually more) than a month after the first time. Can you live on $65 a month?

OK then, now let’s get you that extra job. Do you know how to start? Fisrt, all casting is done in big cities. I have no idea where you live. Are you in or near a big city? You’ll need to contact the casting director of a film or TV production. If you can’t find one, call an agency and tell them you’re interested in extra work and ask who to contact. Most SAG agencies won’t handle extras, but they know who does. When you get the name and number, call them. They’ll ask for an 8” by 10” photo of your face and another of your full body, plus all your measurments, hair and eye color. You send all that in with your contact number, then wait for the phone to ring. Good luck.
