have a star named after me
Symbol of friendship. 14 months ago

My best friend gave me a star as a one year friendship present. At the time, it was meant to be more…he wanted to literally give me the earth and the heavens…for wooing purposes. As of now, it is proof to me of unconditional love, the kind of love that is not passionate but is caring and warm and comforting.

It is a tiny star in a major constellation, and I have the certificate hanging on my bedroom wall. He named it ”.:Aud:.”, after my Livejournal moniker. “Audrey” would be too common, he said, and by using my signature associated with my journal, he touched upon one of the most important aspects of my life/personality.

It is still one of the best gifts I’ve ever received, so well thought out, brilliant, and unexpected.

Comments:

not passionate

you say that the star is proof that it is not a passionate love, but that he would go to such a length to name a heavenly body after you, that he would have a bracelet handmade specifically for you, that he would buy you roses and try to be there for you in your moments of need say that his love for you is most passionate.

in fact he probably has done more to try to show you his passion than he has done for anybody he has met before or since.

And i’m sure that if he meant it to be more than just an affirmation of friendship, and instead meant it as a “you’ve changed my life for the better, and i want to show you how much you mean to me” and i’m certain that he still feels that way, even though he probably feels that you’ve pulled away from him after you rejected him.

and i’m certain that he also looks up at the sky and sees your star and feels pained by how badly things ended up turning out once the star last disappeared from the sky.

Yeah I think he was and still is most passionate in his feelings for you, the real question is, were you ever open enough to feel passionate about him?
