All I need is to find the time (and the patience). I just bought a new sewing machine to replace my singer that is pretty much worn out – but I haven’t even taken the new machine out of the box, and I’ve had it for almost 2 months. The last time I made my own clothes was in college – I’d like to start doing it again – it is the only way to get the things I really want to fit the way that I want.

Not good enough!!
Go get that machine out of its box right now autumnsunflower….it is probably feeling all sorta rejected and sad in there. I bet once it’s out and breathing fresh air again it will have it’s bobbins jumping all over the place ready to get sewing for you ::deep chuckle::.
Seriously though, I use to make a lot of my own clothes, and most of the kids clothes when they were younger; I think i’ve just got too lazy with this one – but when i see a skirt or shirt on a rack that I realllllly like for about $200 I usually cringe and think …..geeeeeeez I could make that for $50 or less!
Hope you get moving on this one soon – and post us the pics to show your progress :)
