God has been teaching me more and more about prayer 14 months ago

it is an amazing thing
the power we have through it

I have been surprised the things that have come to pass in my life the passed few weeks because of prayer… big and little things

God is not a gennie in a bottle that we can ask a wish of and get our hearts desire, but as we draw closer to Him, our will becomes His will and therefor the things we want are the things He wants, so when we ask for them we can have confidence that we will receive them. when we ask with confidence, we will receive.

John 15:7
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.

Yes, you can go around praying “God, please do this for me” and “God, please do that for me”. However, I agree, to perceive God as the Cosmic Concierge is a limited understanding.
