learn to bartend
Untitled 14 months ago

I plan on moving to Los Angeles in a little under a year to pursue acting. But I know that I’m definitely going to need a job to keep my head above water while I’m auditioning for parts. I’ve always wanted to learn how to tend bar, and LA seems like it will be the perfect place to do it.

I think I’m going to get myself into some lessons and maybe pick up a weekend job somewhere for the experience.

Hey

Hey I am doing the exact opposite of you
I am from NYC and I wanna try out my luck in Toronto(I am a print model btw).
I wanna juggle between toronto and NYC although I may move to LA but not in the immediate future.
funny thing is I always wanted to bartend and there is this school called toronto institute of bartending that looks cool.
What do you say?

I say that although there’s a good amount of skill to be had in Bartending school, lots of places are going to pick their bartender based on personality and presence. If you look like you belong behind a bar, and you’ve got the personality for it, you work well with strangers and you’re good at starting conversations then chances are that you’re a shoe in. Save your money. You’re going to need it.
