get work experience (read all 2 entries…)

Done a lot of preperation for this, even squeezed in two interviews this week alone. With “Feel” in Camden Town and Cunning in Farrindon. With the former, it all went really well, I even liked the company filled with nice people and a double person interview, up until they asked me my two favourite adverts and I faltered, in hindsight I even struggled with my favourite book and uttered a play, and annoyed with my response about music. I mean how could I answer the finally two questions without a difficulty. Oh well. They said they would get back to me by the end of the week, by my calculations thats tonight. But my inbox isn’t exactly ringing. With the other one Cunning, the interviewed went really well, only for the guy Olly to reveal that he was in an awkward situation because they were about to enter into a big deal and he didnt see any point in having me there. He did, however, promise to speak to a few friends to help me out. So I give Feel till next Tuesday to hear something and I guess the same with Cunning. Things are improving with actually getting interviews but it appears to be a bad time. Contacted Peter PJ and also resent out emails directly to a lot of companies.

Comments:

So I’ve been interning for 1 1/2 days so far with Feel. Really like the people, in a way I never could with Vice. They’re more open, friendly and its definitely a better place for me to pick up what I need. Feel in two days has given me more experience then Vice in two months. Need to keep writing down what I’ve done, and try and build relationship with staff. Anyway, in the back of my head, what I’d really like is a job, even at basic wage, I can get experience and have some money for it. Anyway josh said this is a trial and then we’ll see how it goes. But with this all I’d realistically need is a month to pick up all the skills I could want. Really looking forward to discovering more about shadowing a barrister too.
