I started PRACTICING meditation 7 years ago. I’ve been suprised by all the ways there are to practice meditation. When I started I thought sitting in the lotus position was the only way to meditate so that’s what I did; two to three times a day for more than a year. It was what I needed at the time. My mind was totally out of control. It still is in many ways but now I remember to watch the insanity instead of buying into it. From what I understand that IS meditation—the ability to watch the mind work, use what is useful and let go of what is not.
