learn to make guacamole
no time like the present:)

Guacamole

INGREDIENTS
• 3 to 5 ripe avocados, seeded and peeled
• 1/3 cup onion, finely chopped
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• 1 tomato, diced (optional)
• 2 oz. low-fat cream cheese
• 3 to 4 drops hot pepper sauce
• 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
• 2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
• seasoned salt, to taste

• In a large mixing bowl, coarsely mash avocados, leaving some chunks.
• Add remaining ingredients and mix to blend.
• Guacamole is best made as close to serving as possible. For short-term storage, seal in an airtight container with a piece of plastic wrap against the surface of the guacamole.

*Add 1 Tbsp of dry vermouth and a pinch of dried tarragon for a taste of France.

Cream cheese???

Who ever put cream cheese in guacamole???? I guess it adds some creaminess, but honestly, I never thought avacados needed more richness. But I would say make the onion a red onion and consider adding chili powder for some extra kick.

Yum! How did this batch turn out?

Best guacamole ever.

Chunky Chickpea Guacamole

truth will out (sheepish grin)

didn’t even notice that on there:_ After surveying numerous recipes, this one seemed the simplest and best explained, with (barring the cream cheese…cream cheese…?) the same ingredients I use (and I liked the thing about making it French). I do agree about the chili though…just enough to taste it in there makes it magic.
