ubadb0y is working at home

see a cure for HIV in my lifetime
we need to treat each other better

it a illnes, its manageable and controlable and those who are infected not deserve the stigma they recieve.

i met a +ve person the other day, it strikes me that they are shunned for all the wrong reasons.
they are normal human beings and need to be treated as such

on a recent trip to zimbabwe i saw a number of poster which summed it up

” my freind with HIV is still my friend”

to coin a phrase
‘word’
(doesn’t work in white boy-british accent but you get the jist)

well said

the truth is its damn hard to catch this thing unless you intend to have uprotected sex or share a needle / blood with some one.

normal social intercourse is no threat at all and the virus can only exist out of the human body for a very short time.

reality check time!

This is so true

My best friend was diagnosed with HIV about a year ago. We sill hug each other, go out places and even hold hands in public (despite the fact we’re not a couple). I have gone to his home a few times. As long as I’m healthy it isn’t a problem. Otherwise, I pose more of a danger to him than he does to me.
As far as I’m concerned, people with HIV have enough to deal with without being shunned by those who are uninformed.
