I think that would be a very interesting thing to do…
To get to know people from different cultures and different backgrounds..

Hi Notting_Hill
That is a fantastic idea. I am Australian. I did the Home Tutor Scheme to help migrants learn English. I met an Egyptian family and came to know them quite well.
Thanks a lot.. I am very interested in learning languages, meeting people from different countries.
I speak English, Arabic, Spanish fluently. And intermediate french.
I am also learning Chinese, Japanese, and Russian .
I don’t know anyone from Australia.. maybe e-meeting counts as well.. hehe
Gday
We are the oldest continent. Surrounded by ocean we have less opportunities to use other languages. Our Aboriginal people had over 100 different languages.
I learned French for years and can barely speak it. I am impressed by people who are multi-lingual.
If more people traveled and spoke different languages there might be less war. We are all brothers and sisters. I thought it would be good to have a multi-cultural party before my death instead of a funeral.
I think Russian would be a hard language to learn.
Have fun meeting people!
