There’s something about this time of year that can make you feel overjoyed by the most simple thing and a moment later so very depressed (or at least very very down…). I am prone to get depressed myself soooo easily and a few of my strategies against it are:
- a nice warm cup of tea
- light up the christmas tree
- look into those children’s eyes when they see the tree (and the cookies in it…)
- bake cookies (the smell, ...oh that smell) to bless yourself and others.
Maybe it’s not comforting right now, but when you look closely, there’s more to smile about in this world, than there are reasons to feel depressed about.
I hope you’re feeling better very soon.

Your comment made me think about the things that make me feel better. I’ve come up with a few and I’m already doing some to see if my mood improves.
Thank you for your support, it means a lot to me.

Are you better now? I really hope your mood is still improving and getting better by the minute. And reading that you made your own little make-me-smile-list makes me hopeful that you’ll have a great christmas.
Take care!

There’s still (plenty of) room for improvement, but I’m celebrating every little step on the way.
Thank you for the comments and cheers – they DO cheer me up! :)
