Well we drink Chianti...
instead of BM’s (I think).
It’s all a bit more Italian!!
{Turandot} is still
uhm: instead??!?
why are you coming over to Italy if not for introducing me to the rite of BM?!?
I shan’t be deprived of it!
ok, ok, Chianti,
I know,
I don’t even like it much… ;-}
ok
what I really meant was ‘what is ‘chianti’.. but wikipedia tells me that it’s wine… :) definitely more Italian than BM’s!
{Turandot} is still
ok for me!
If you want me to do the organising bit (book hotel and such) I’m very happy to do that and it can be easily done because one of my flatmates just happens to be from Lucca and used to work as a travel agent there.
How long do you plan to stay?

ewwwww
i think i’m having italian overcommitment problems. i want to go to Soundlabs again in July (if it’s on this year), and then back to Roseto to pick olives in October. maybe i should just move to eeetaleee?
i was kind of hoping we’d be able to find an earlier, pre-summer date – i’ll be in dire need of sun in a couple of months, and Lucca in August will be hot hot hot. of course, those of you coming from cooler climes will appreciate that, but hot hot hot Berlin is more than enough for me. (all we ever manage to do by day at Soundlabs is sit in deckchairs and swim. we haven’t even made it up the hill to Montepagano.) but i understand if pre-summer is difficult for you others.
{Turandot} is still
what if
you try to come just before the soundlabs? would that be end June? it might be fine for me,

me too?
I have never been to Italy, and have promised myself that 2009 would be the year. I have to do some family historical research, too.
Re. wines – I had a lovely Barbera this past week. It was only $7 here, so probably practically free in Italy! In other words, Chianti’s nice but there are lots of possibilities for changes of pace.
if
this is an open invitation, i might join you, but I can’t promise anything because August is so far away, I could have emigrated to the Moon by then. I’d love to go to one of these get-togethers once…
melb100 lives in edinburgh!
Gah!
I’m so jealous!!
I’ll be out of Japan by August, but whether I’d have the dosheroons to join you remains to be seen…providing I get an invitation, naturally

were dates decided
for August?
turns out that Soundlabs has shifted to the first weekend of September this year—so if you were thinking of the end of August, i might be able to combine the two!
