This movie has a great cast and is a high school replay of the highly sophisticated movie, Dangerous Liaisons… only without the clever repartee or even the crucial plot points.

I’ve been meaning to rewatch this. Unlike you I remember liking it. Esp. the cast, but also the rest. Gotta see it again I guess…

Reese Witherspoon is just beginning to show promise. Sarah Michelle Gellar is, as you would expect, very good. Ryan Philippe is just terrific. But the script is very weak (in my opinion).
Take another look. I’d be curious on your second take.
