figure out how to use all the features on my basic camera so that I can justify getting a real one that I won't know how to use either. (read all 14 entries…)
A first attempt 11 months ago

I usually only see the big picture and try to get everything in the image. When I was at the lookout today I saw an amazing cobweb over a frangipani tree. Thought I’d have a go but couldn’t see anything in my display because of the sun on it….it turned out much better than I thought it would.

Beautiful...

Fangipani grows on trees. I think my only exposure to it the scent, It must be lovely to have that nearby! Do they bloom long?

They probably last 3 or 4 months, from when they first start to get decent leaves till they have lost the last of them. In winter they look like dead sticks in the ground. You can snap a piece off and stick it in the ground and it will grow. Mum and Dad had to chop one down , it was dumped in a corner of the garden for months, lying on the ground and it began to flower.

A long time really

Lilacs which grow heavily here will do the grow after you stick in the ground thing. They are incredibly hardy. They smell lovely too!

They are the best sort to have, things that you have to do little work for and they continue to grow.

Yes!

Lilacs are rather life affirming to me. They are early in Spring when you are dead tired of Winter & dreariness.

They bloom with these incredible smelling flowers & while they smell & look hardy they are incredibly hardy & resilient.

Axx has gotten 6 cheers on this entry.
