Having asthma since I was a kid, I never thought it would be possible for me to run. This year I discovered that asthma doesn’t stand a chance on the way to my goal. I’m now able to run up to 6mi at a time, and I’m running around 13mi a week. I now want to run my first official race.

Asthma sucks
I was diagnosed with asthma when I started running track in high school.
I now ride a bike every day to and from work, and do all this without medication. I truly believe that asthma sometimes gets diagnosed simply on the basis of poor physical health in the first place.
It’s all about exercise, mentality, and determination.
Good luck on your 5k!
