CillaJenkins is trying to start the new year off on a positive note.

I did some tracking and some calculations and to get a 3-month emergency fund, I’d need approximately $15,000. Phew. That’s quite a sum. But that’s if I kept my spending just as it is today – if I were relying on an emergency fund, I’d definitely spend less.
So for a goal, I’m going for a $10,000 emergency fund. If I come in to some good bonuses or something like that, maybe it’s doable in 3-years. Otherwise I’m going to guess it will take about 5-years. That’s $2,000 a year. That works out to a little more than $75 from each paycheck. Paychecks are super tight as it stands today…not sure if this is feasible.
