Ohh, and try to catch some chinese / shangainese, the people appreciate that a lot, when you try to communicate with them in their language (but that’s the same as at other places, isn’t it?). It’ll open you an another world – besides the fact that it will make the living there much more easier for you…

You can meet a lot of ex-pats, foreigners (when you want) at usual suspect places, like Malone’s, which is always a good point to start ;-)
