Have a totally different life by this time next year
who, me?!

yeah, so this time last year I was spending my last day in the transition house at Shades of Hope, a treatment center I spent 10 weeks at for an eating disorder, love addiction, and traumatic childhood, among other things. I moved to Memphis and found a job, haven’t contacted my abusive former S.O. in over a year, took a break from dating, am now dating casually, have been working hard at recovery from anorexia, got an apartment and decorated it beautifully, made lotsa new friends, grew my hair longer than it’s been in 8 years, and bought a new car. Life’s good and getting better!

That's great!

I am always happy to hear such stories! You have achieved really a lot, just go on like this! Good luck!

You Go Girl!!!

You are awesome. Recovery is awesome. It is amazing what happens when you only allow safe people in your life. It only gets better from here (sometimes harder and more challenging because we recover on ever deepening levels) but better.

whirlygirl has gotten 12 cheers on this entry.
