Ima gonna be a starr! 4 years ago

I have all these ideas flowing through my head, and I want to share them with the world. The problem with this is that it takes a lot of money to get started… a lot of money that I dont currently have. If someone could guarantee me success, no problem, but my fear is that my great idea, is not a popular idea. If no one likes, no one buys. If no one buys… I is broke :(
Until I am little more secure it will sit on the back burner, BUT IT WILL HAPPEN!

Well...

You have ideas. You should be penning them. Keep a portfolio.

I can speak from experience. If you don’t codify or record your ideas in some way, the details tend to evaporate.

It is difficult

...but so worth it to have your own business. I have had three, and two of them were very successful for several years. It is hard to continue, and I wish I had a good business mentor to show me how to keep going; however, I have one now, and this time it will be really good. I love the statement about penning your ideas. Excellent advice.

Good luck to everybody on here. It is something that is so fulfilling to have your own business.

Follow your dream but...

it doesnt mean quitting your job straight away but see as it as a goal each day that you must do so that you can go home from work and spend at least an hour getting all your ideas down on paper. Think of it as your “me time”.

Buy a writing book with a cover that inspires you or create the cover yourself and get all your ideas down. Carry it with you everywhere and note anything that inspires your idea more.

Once you start to physically see the fruition of your efforts you will get a clearer idea of the journey you want take.

Once you have designs ready put them online and start marketing.
Promote yourself locally at markets and events and build it slowly. Join forces with like minded people whose work compliments yours as it is always great to have a sounding board.

Best advice: dont ever take too much work on as if you disappoint people wont take you seriously and news travels.

The best businesses are built on a solid strategy so haste is not an option if it’s something that you really want to do.
