You can download the song Moose and I wrote on Friday as an mp3 file here (I hope it works!)

The song, which we dubbed “Crap” for short, is dedicated to the wonderful Madam Ish who inspired the chorus. Here are the lyrics so you can shout along apologies for the giggling between verses!

I particularly like your whizzy guitar intro and drums (and my cymbal, of course)...

And the first verse where we are completely unsynchronised is v. funny – we just about get it together by the last line… All set for a live performance at the TIGOTBMG!

OMG

Please promise my you won’t make me sing. I’m absolutely atrocious! Just the thought of having to sing in public makes my heart race. I have a recurring nightmare in which some record label people are forcing me to go on stage at Wembley. I try to tell them that I can’t sing but no one listens to me and they just keep on pushing me towards the stage and telling me that the audience has paid good money to see me, so I just have to do it.

I can just be a dancer on your video or something :)

I’m glad it didn’t disappoint!

As for giggles, I totally cracked up during the weather forecast bit in verse 4 because of the dreadful inane lyrics (for which I take full responsibility) which is why Moose had to turn me into a whiny helium thing while she turned into a “Mouse” voice – that weird croaky noise you can hear. Am still not convinced about that verse.

do you think Madam Ish will sell us the UK rights to the merchandise?

clearly i must defer to the expert in matters of music biznissery: alb is grooving to the “garage-y trash feeling,” but thinks a first pressing of 10,000 might be slightly overambitious. if you do a smaller pressing, Moose can hand-make the covers and number them individually. cool!
