jenny bean Happy Christmas to all!

plan, prepare and eat nourishing food (read all 6 entries…)
so my definition of nourishing 11 months ago

has changed since reading Michael Pollan’s “Omnivore’s Dilemma”. I printed out some information about Community Supported Agriculture and Farmer’s Markets in the area. Joel Salatin (the sustainable farmer the majority of Pollan’s book is about) has also written several books. So either a share in a farm or local farmer’s markets for us from now on. Eggs, dairy and poultry will be more of a challenge.

Comments:

Stick with it...

Our views of food, nutrition, and our relationship to food providers has become so skewed of the last 50 years. CSA is a great way to get more involved in where your food comes from, how it is grown, and how it affects your community.

jenny bean Happy Christmas to all!

your encouragement is very timely!

I did use most of our CSA share last week except for the kale… I was wavering about joining again next year but you are right; it’s actually bigger than just the produce itself.

jenny bean has gotten 5 cheers on this entry.
