My 1st time going to india was in Feb. 2005. From day 1 to the last day- It was a blast. I acthally began to rip up my ticket on the last day my mom had to stop me. Even though I like where I live, two months was not enough time spent in India. I can’t wait to go back there is so much I want to do and EAT:D. I miss my Cuzins in Amritsar- THEY ROCK. And I loved Jaipur, and Kalka!! and just EVERY THING!

Gifts
It is kind of hard to shop for famliy in India now because nearly everything we have you can find there. I learned then when I went with my gifts. Depending on personality, there are certain things to get. If she is the girly type- get her some top-notch make-up and hair stuff, or perfume. If she is warm hearted and modest- get her something like a really nice, unique hand bag or something. And fill it with little accessories. But, don’t over do it because she might feel like ‘Well, this is such nice stuff- my things I give Bryanne can’t compare’ Make her feel loved. Sometimes us Westeners/Pardesi’s give things and other then feeling good- they get sad. As for something very American, perhaps some Jackets or such. My mother gave my Massi a nice coat- and she loved it. I remember in india my cousins had never ate at mcdonalds or at Dominos/pizza hut- so my brother and I took them out and ate. But since you are sending stuff, I think it would better the send items rather then food. Or send a combination of both. Because I’m sure she wants to keep whatever you send for a long time!
Good luck!
