maybe

Sometimes the personal blogs are really interesting as long as they are positive and show something about your depth and passion. Nothing about your party life or love life or other things that aren’t really work appropriate.

Do you have a site with software apps and gadgets?

Make sure you put any interships, school work projects done with groups, volunteer things, like apps or websites. I’d always put job experience on the first page. When I interview people I go to their personal sites and sometimes look at the company sites that they used to work at to get familiar with what the technology was that they worked on.

Thanks for the advice!!

I was pondering about that because my professional life is basically my personal life but I don’t go posting at facebook me working at the office at the wee hours, just the night outs with my friends!! I should start posting me at work hahaha!!

It’s a little tricky since google easily has indexed every move I’d do since my first post to a newsgroup asking for an issue with an open source fax software almost a decade ago or more!! If I forget something about me I just go and google it back :) but so an HR guy at a potential customer.

But that’s good idea, What about this:

-Curriculum vitae
-Links/Icons/Logos of companies I’d work for (your suggestion :) )
-The blog I’m intending to use to post articles related to my work and the tools I use, also programs I’d developed, best practices, etc.

My “personal” blog would be called http://www.artificiarium.co.cc, I’ve one where my 43 stuff is posted but I wanted a blog to “store” all the cool things that I discover in the net with my impressions about it, so I can stop spamming my facebook friends everytime I find a link enough cool to share hahahaha.

Besos!

the blog is cool

I like the blog layout. Sometimes the professional blogs from someone that has a passion for their profession are just incredible. You find really great sites too. I always enjoy them so go for it! I don’t think I’d put the icons of the companies, but its nice to put links. Just check the urls because companies change stuff.
Yeah, the personal stuff on the web is really going to become more of an issue. I think that you have to be able to realize that some things taken out of context can be misinterpreted. A picture can be faked and friends can be talking about something silly that happened rather than something that happened in a drunken stupor and it could sound the same.

yeah cool

I figured. ITs fun to try things though. I’m doing a whole bunch of web QA at work in the last couple of weeks. Its fun. We are looking at web 2.0 technologies and I really need to try to twitter so I can stay hip.
